Great idea

My sister's friends are trying to put this together. Sounds like a great idea to honor President Hinckley.

Happy Birthday Kasey!

I have a 13 year old, I can't believe it!

This is Kasey today, her 13th birthday.

This was taken on my wedding day, she was almost 4.
Time flies!

We took her and some friends to Classic Skating in Sandy yesterday. Weird taking my 13 year old to the place I used to hang out when I was 13 :)

4:52pm

Here's what my kids were doing today at 4:52 pm:

Kane was making a fruit salad. This was all his idea. He asked Matt this morning to take him to the store to get the ingredients, apples, bananas, oranges and blueberries.

Asher was playing Thrillville. He's been addicted for about 5 days now.
Kasey was working on her science fair project.
Guess what I get to do tonight? Reorganize my game closet! Kane just pulled out a puzzle from the bottom and everything came crashing down. I now have to figure out which puzzle pieces go where and oh my! it's a huge mess.

Good things

Since I can't think of anything too exciting to post I'm going to list some good things that happened in the past couple days:

Going to Anne Marie's jewelry party and being the last one there and got sent home with her yummy treats. (Post the recipe... please)

Kane giving me one of Asher's karate trophies and a medal because "I'm a good mom and keep care of him".

Learning some new parenting skills from a great counselor we go to.

Holding my beautiful new nephew.

Matt took Kane to preschool today and I'm typing this in my pajamas (it's past noon).

Laughing out loud at The Office reruns.

Got all my W-2's together and going to file my taxes by tomorrow.

Both of my sister's started blogs (check them out, the links are on my page... Heidi & Betsy).

I have had lots of stress this week but instead of wasting energy typing about that I figured it would be better for me to list the good stuff :)

Legos

Can I just tell you about Asher, he LOVES legos. He got this set for Christmas (one of about 4 big sets). It has about 650 pieces and is made for 8-14 year olds, he's 7. The top picture is him opening Christmas morning, the bottom picture is the finished product Christmas evening. He finished it all in one day. Even though we were at my sisters house for most of the day. He did it all by himself. He once spent 7 hours on a Saturday building a Lego castle. Now, he doesn't really play with the Legos, they usually get built once and then his little brother and cousin get to them and wreck them. Needless to say, he has a closet full of Lego pieces :) Think he'll be an engineer like his Grandpa???

It's a boy!

He's here! Jack or Luke, I don't think they've decided on a name yet. Heidi was induced at about 7:30 this morning and he was here at 11:09am. No time for an epidural (that was NOT the plan). Heidi did so good though. 8lb5oz 20" Isn't he cute??? (picture of his first mohawk, haha)
*~.~*UPDATE*~.~*
As much as they love the name Jack, Luke just fits this little guy :)

Blank

Okay, everytime I go to write a new blog I erase it all and stare at this screen thinking, "I have nothing to say, at least not anything anyone else wants to waste time reading." Guess I'm a little intimidated by everyone's clever, beautiful blogs. I spend so much stinking time at my computer already it might be a while before I get a better blog.

For those in my ward, can you believe how many kids we have turning 8 this year... like 22 or something like that! Seriously I think we have a record breaking monsterous primary. It's so fun though.

Today was my first Sunday out of nursery. I thought I would be so grateful to be done. But I found myself worrying about and missing "my kids"! It was nice to attend Relief Society. And be able to come home from church and not feel like I need to throw my clothes directly in the washer and shower.

Holy crap.... I just realized... Kasey is turning 13 this month, Asher will be baptized this year, and Kane will start Kindergarten in the fall. I'm old!!!! Eeek!

Okay enough for tonight. I'm taking Heidi in to be induced at 6:30am tomorrow. Boy or girl? Any guesses?? I have no idea!!!

I just have to tell all of my friends and family how much I love them and how grateful I am to have such awesome people in my life. After some sad news in Lehi tonight we just never know what to expect in life. I hope you are all happy :)

Dinosaur hair?

So we were headed to go see Alvin and the Chipmunks (better than expected) and I was doing Kane's hair. He said, "Mom, I don't want a mohawk I want triceratops hair." This is what I came up with. He loved it as you can tell by the face :) Who cares what everyone at the movie theater thinks, right?

Part of the cool club now

Okay so I received two invitations yesterday to view my friends blogs. Guess I'll join all of the cool kids and start my own. I promise I'll do more soon!
